PSA Suspends Submissions

Hello all! What a wild, unexpected week. I will say this, it’s never dull with PSA.
Without notice PSA has stopped accepting any submissions slower than Super Express. It’s easy to say this is a move to catch up on the backlog, but I believe there is more to it. Things like expanding, continuing to hire and train, as well as exploring AI are all factors I believe influenced this decision.
PSA is currently targeting July 1st to reopen lower tiered submissions… I have my doubts. Maybe bring Express back July 1st, and proceed with lower tiers from there. Personally, I would be surprised to see Value submissions open back up this year, and if they do it’ll likely be at a higher price. Again, this is just my opinion.
To be realistic, this is probably the right move for PSA long term. However, that doesn’t make it any less frustrating.
Now to move on to how your cards will be handled.
Anything marked on the website as “Cards Sent to PSA” made the cutoff and will proceed as normal.
Unfortunately, that means anything marked as received or awaiting shipment won’t be able to be sent to PSA (with the exception of any Super Express orders).
Everyone with orders that are in my hands will be reached out to via email today or Friday at the latest. If you decide you wish to have your cards returned, just simply reply to my email with the info requested. I plan to have any return requests completed by Tuesday of next week.
I am exploring SGC as an alternative. There will be another post with information on this, I would appreciate any input on that post regarding SGC.
When PSA opens back up I will continue submitting to them as long as they will have me.
Price points will change, turnaround times will change, the entire hobby has changed… but PSA has allowed me to start my own business in sports cards… and nothing will change that.
Thank you all for your continued support!
